Environments I made for "The Medium"
Forest
Meshes, material, environment, lights....
The main challenge was to create a mesh of trees, bushes, undergrowth and terrain materials. In Medium, 2 screens were rendered simultaneously. Foliage was created completely from scratch by me based on universal solutions. Materials based on vertex paint. Finally, ready-made brushes and presets for painting were created, which could be used by the level artist to duplicate the content.

The Medium is a psychological horror video game developed and published by Bloober Team. It was released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S on January 28, 2021 and was released for PlayStation 5 on September 3, 2021.

I've had a pleasure to be the Lead 3d Environmental Artist in Bloober Team.
